New Year Hopes

Finally, not writing 2020, but 2021! Seems refreshing in a way I never imagined.

With the old year history, we focus on 2021. What will it bring? What are the hopes and dreams we yearn for? Here’s a concise list for us to focus on:

·        End of pandemic

·        Congress cooperates and collaborates with other branches of government to make the good things happen

·        Joy and appreciation of family

·        Economic innovation to create new markets, products, and careers

·        World peace

I could wish for more, but these are my favorites. An end to COVID-19 would allow so many good things to happen. An end to COVID death of course, but a return to gatherings and social interaction.

Congress has been rogue for several years. Power plays and ideology wars have derailed the core of the People’s government. It is time they worked together for what is good for the American people. While they are at it, they need to bolster the checks and balances on both the Judiciary and the Executive branches.

The pandemic refocused on family. That is a good thing. Let’s keep that going forward.

The economy will never return to the old normal. Some of that is bad, but some is good, too. Let’s work the good into the best and transform work culture and commercial activities into a shared, global economy.

World peace might be more accessible if the other four arenas work to their potential. Peace comes when we all realize we are in this together and more is accomplished for the common good when collaboration and better standards of living are shared by the entire community of humankind.

Sounds simple but it is not. The effort will pay dividends, however. In the end we must try.

Happy New Year!
