Not with fists or weapons, but with truth.
The republican party has made a mess of itself and the
nation for many years now. It is time for the rest of us to simply say ‘enough
is enough’ and move on.
That means we need to press forward with what we believe is
the meaning of our nation’s purpose, and to do that job well.
Racism is a problem in America. It has been so for over 400
years. That is awful and needs to be fixed.
Schools work hard to do their jobs, but they are saddled
with everyone’s expectations and political nonsense. Teach the truth, teach the
facts, and then prepare students for a life of critical thinking. If we don’t,
we will produce a know-nothing society willing to swallow anything told to them
by con men. Just look at our present day political environment to see the truth
of this statement.
Increase access to all education to the extent the student
is interested and able. That will produce motivated, innovative thinkers and
workers society needs. For those unwilling or unable, we will employ them in
satisfactory jobs that will support them and their lifestyles.
Work for peace throughout the world. Start here in our own
land. Then work hard to help everyone else live lives of freedom and purpose
that builds positive forces throughout mankind. Spending vast sums of money on
military capability is wasteful and dangerous. Protect and defend, yes; offend
and destroy, no.
Protect the planet that sustains our lives. Fix ecological
disaster aggressively. Now. Before it is too late.
Work toward positive. Being critical thinkers does not mean
we are critical blame finders. The latter is wasteful of energy and resources.
Instead, build the positive. Fix the broken. Replace the obsolete.
We have much work to do without making things up.
Democrats, you have a huge challenge before you. Use the
majority of our society to accomplish the good it needs. Ignore the republicans
and let them stew in their own juices.
They can win (as they have) by being dirty. We can win by
being clean. And we will.
Fight! Onward.
