We spend a lot of time on the internet. It has taken the
place of newspapers in our home (except the one we write, publish and
distribute!). We use the internet for education, communication and commerce. We
shop on the internet. We buy on the internet.
The internet is an important part of our household and our
lives. Enter Bernie Sanders, independent US Senator from Vermont , who said:
“The path to a free and open
internet is to reclassify it as a telecommunications service so that we can
ensure equal access to for all.”
Think about this over the weekend. The internet is changing
the very fabric of our lives. How do we keep it open, free and accessible to
all? And should we?
