Andy Rooney ~~ Rest in Peace

I wrote on the blog when Andy Rooney was recently hospitalized. I wished him well but as we all know he succumbed this past Friday evening. It is a loss we will feel and sense. There is a lingering Rooney in each of us: a wry question; a cynical lifting of an eyebrow; a twinkle of the eye when making an assertion bound to rankle; a smile when smug satisfaction slowly transforms his face. These are mannerisms we have absorbed into our own lives I suspect. These memories are a natural memorial of Andy Rooney and what he came to mean to us. He changed us. Because of that, he lives on.

Andy, thanks for sharing your life with us. You made the journey special!
