Former President Lyndon Baines Johnson said:
“If you can convince the lowest
white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking
his pocket. Hell, give him someone to look down on and he’ll empty his pockets
for you.”
So goes the story of the southern states. Even modern ones
like Florida and Texas . The cynicism and ignorance grew over
the generations and even today. Now Indiana , Illinois , Wisconsin and Kansas are joining the
failed states.
Picking pockets of ignorant people. And letting them feel
good about it.
When will we stop this from happening?
